Stretching and lengthening muscles is a great way to reduce stress. The gentle movements of the stretch routine release “feel good” chemicals in your body (endorphins, oxytocin, dopamine, and serotonin), and reduce the stress hormone cortisol. So even though we are working to loosen your muscles and joints, you will leave the session feeling peaceful and content. In this session, tell your Stretch Therapist where you hold your stress, and they will focus on those areas specifically.
